Huníades Urbina sobre caso en J.M de los Ríos: Los niños en hemodiálisis están propensos a contaminarse

El presidente de la Sociedad Venezolana de Puericultura y Pediatría, Huníades Urbina, advirtió este jueves 29 de junio que todos los niños de la unidad de hemodiálisis del servicio de nefrología en el hospital J.M de los Ríos están propensos a infectarse con bacterias, por falta de mantenimiento preventivo.

Además, el ex director del hospital ubicado en Caracas, reiteró que el fallecimiento de los cuatros niños en ese centro de salud, es por consecuencia a la mala limpieza de la máquina de Ósmosis.

El ‘J.M de los Ríos’ ubicado en Caracas, es el único centro médico en Venezuela, que realiza diálisis a niños menores de 10 kilos, por consecuencia en ese hospital, los niños con algún tipo de insuficiencia renal, de distintas zonas del país, son remitidos por obligación a esa instalación dentro del área de nefrología.

El Dr. Urbina explicó el funcionamiento de la máquina que se encuentra en la unidad de hemodiálisis,  “la máquina de Osmosis inversa es una planta donde se mete el agua, y se trata con una serie de reactivos,  porque esa agua va a pasar por los ductos o las líneas que llevan al contacto la sangre del paciente. Con esa agua en un filtro y hacen el intercambio de la materia que uno le quiere realizar al paciente niño”.

 “Esa máquina necesita un mantenimiento cada 6 meses –dicho por la empresa que la vendió – esa máquinas se puso en el año 2013, cuando yo era director (del hospital  J.M de los Ríos) bajo la gestión de la última ministra de Salud (María Eugenia Sader)”, manifestó el presidente de la sociedad Nacional de Puericultura y Pediatría 

Urbina aseguró que el aterfacto de esa unidad no le hicieron los mantenimientos preventivos,” la máquina término contaminándose en un año, y ahí están los resultados.  Un año duro sin tener mantenimiento”.

Además, el especialista en pediatría cuestionó la limpieza que se realizo en esa planta, “esa máquina no es como limpiar un tanque de tu casa, eso necesita técnicos especiales de desinfección de la máquina. Después del escándalo que surgió con los tres y ahora con el cuarto niños muertos, si es verdad, le hicieron la limpieza, pero no de la manera adecuada, y por lo tanto la máquina sigue contaminada” aseguró.

“Lo peor es que nadie emite una explicación, porque se envían las comunicaciones al seguro social, al ministerio y nadie hace limpieza a la máquina como corresponde” relató.

Sobre las otras problemáticas que presenta el hospital J.M de los Ríos, Urbina describió: las fallas en las camas; en el suministro de antibióticos, problemas en el servicio de comida para los pacientes, fallas de infraestructura, entre otros.

“De acuerdo a la encuesta nacional de hospitales, se informó la inoperatividad del 51% de quirófano en Venezuela, en el caso de los hospitales de niños llega a 70%”, expresó Urbina durante el programa Primera Página transmitido en Globovisión.

Regarding the other problems presented by the J.M de los Ríos hospital, Urbina described: bed faults; In the supply of antibiotics, problems in the food service for patients, infrastructure failures, among others.
